Idah Saidan Wa Sanah Jadidah
today was kind of hard for some of us. of course everyone misses home and since we live so close, our frustrations were taken out on eachother. but, we made it.
the chow hall made their best efforts to make it a good time.

I love you so much... and wish you could be here. I love my flowers - they smell so yummy! Just know that you're near the end of your stay there - and we all anxiously wait for your safe return. Santa's cute, too... love his boots! What is your title wording about - is that cool lingo or what?

OK, I found out that "Idah Saidan Wa Sanah Jadidah" is the Iraqi way of saying "Merry Christmas". But I've given up on finding a literal translation of it on the web. Maybe it means, "May you eat candy out of your socks while seated before a severed tree."
